Coach Mouratoglou has always paid attention to innovations that can make the business more efficient and the Red Plus courts are designed to specifically meet these needs, hence the decision to have six of them installed at his prestigious Academy.
These are real clay courts (ITF 1-SLOW approved) where natural red clay is infilled in a synthetic support up to about 3 mm. above the height of the fiber, which cannot be thus seen and is protected by the clay itself, thereby reaching a mutual protection with the fibers containing the clay and the upper layer of clay avoiding wear of the fibers.
There are many advantages: no need to annually renovate the court (just a small amount of clay is required), no divots to repair, regular bounce, excellent sliding, quick drainage, playable all year round.
